As more Boston homeowners consider outdoor upgrades, choosing the right pool builder matters. This list ranks the top pool builders serving Greater Boston, compiled from Google review data and updated in 2026. The result highlights contractors, repair specialists, and liner and coating shops that local reviewers have relied on. Whether you’re replacing a liner, detecting leaks, or planning a new in-ground pool, these firms represent well-reviewed options across suburban Boston and nearby towns.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a pool builder?
Start by verifying licenses and insurance, then compare portfolios and recent project photos. Get multiple written estimates, check references, and confirm the contractor is familiar with local permits and site conditions before signing a contract.
What does a typical pool project cost?
Costs vary widely depending on pool type, materials, site access, and local permitting requirements. Ask builders for itemized estimates and expect to budget for excavation, materials, equipment, permits, and any required landscaping or drainage work.
What should I check before hiring a pool builder?
Verify proof of insurance, ask for local references, inspect recent work in person if possible, and require a detailed written contract with timelines, payment schedule, and warranty terms. Confirm who handles permits and inspections so you know the scope of the contractor’s responsibilities.
