The 10 Best Massage Therapists in Boston (2026)
This list ranks Boston massage therapists and day spas using Google review data and a volume-weighted (Bayesian) score, updated for 2026. We prioritize businesses that combine high ratings with a meaningful number of reviews so places with only a handful of five-star notes don’t outrank larger, well-reviewed operations. Boston’s market ranges from neighborhood day spas to dedicated massage studios, and readers should consider location, availability and the type of service they need when choosing. The selections below reflect current Google ratings and review counts, giving a snapshot of where neighbors are leaving consistently positive feedback.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a massage therapist in Boston?
Start by defining what you want—relaxation, deep tissue, or a focused therapeutic session—then check Google reviews and the business category to find places that match. Look for consistent feedback about the service, professionalism, and cleanliness, and confirm the therapist’s credentials if you need clinical or therapeutic work.
What should I check before booking a massage?
Verify the Google listing for up-to-date hours, address and contact information, and read recent reviews for first-hand reports. Also confirm the types of massage offered, cancellation policy, and whether therapists are licensed or insured if that matters to you.
How much does a typical massage session cost in Boston?
Prices vary by location, session length and the type of massage, so expect a range rather than a single number. Check business websites or call to get current rates and to learn what’s included—some places add fees for upgrades or gratuity.
How was this ranking created and updated?
This list is built from Google review data and uses a volume-weighted (Bayesian) method that balances each business’s average rating with how many reviews it has. The ranking was updated in 2026 to reflect current ratings and review counts, so higher-rated businesses with meaningful review totals generally rank higher.
