The 10 Best Golf Courses in Boston (2026)
This list ranks Boston-area golf courses using Google review data and a Bayesian score that weights average rating by the number of reviews; it was updated for 2026. We focused on what local golfers and visitors see in search results—indoor simulators, municipal layouts, private clubs, and suburban courses reachable from the city. The ordering reflects public sentiment recorded on Google rather than an editorial play test, so it highlights facilities that attract frequent commentary from actual customers. Use it as a starting point to compare options by type, location, and how much feedback each spot has received.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right golf course in Boston?
Start by deciding whether you need an indoor simulator, a public municipal course, or a private/club setting. Consider travel time from where you are, the course type and difficulty, tee time availability, and recent reviews to gauge other players’ experiences.
What affects green fees and overall cost?
Costs typically vary by whether a course is public or private, the time of day, day of week, and season. Additional factors like cart rental, equipment rental, lessons, and special events will also influence the total price, so check the course’s booking details before you go.
What should I check before booking a tee time?
Confirm tee time availability, booking and cancellation policies, dress code, whether rentals or lessons are offered, and parking or public-transit access. If you’re bringing a group, ask about group rates and any guest restrictions at private clubs.
