Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a fence company?
Compare contractors by Google reviews and written estimates, but also check licenses, insurance, and references. Look for clear timelines, material options, and a written contract that defines scope and payment terms.
What factors determine the cost of a new fence?
Costs depend on materials (wood, vinyl, metal), total linear feet, fence height, site conditions, and any required permits or removal of old fencing. Ask for itemized quotes so you can compare material and labor components.
What should I check before a crew starts work at my property?
Confirm property lines and utility locations, secure any required permits, and get a written schedule and estimate. Make sure the contractor provides proof of insurance and outlines cleanup and warranty details in writing.
How is this ranking built and how often is it updated?
The ranking uses Google review data and a Bayesian-style score that weights a business’s average rating by how many reviews it has, so high ratings with substantial review counts rank higher. The list was updated with current Google data for 2026.
